Monthly Beauty Buys – May 2017

mbb.pngHey Everyone!!! I hope all of you are doing well.

I can’t believe it is already the end of May, it feels like the year just started yesterday.

Okay so to be honest, I didn’t buy anything this month with my own money. But I did buy stuff, just that it was my dad’s money. PERKS OF LIVING WITH YOUR PARENTS (that is a great idea for a new post).

My dad had to go to Canada for like 4 days for some official trip and beauty products are way cheaper in Canada than they are in UAE, plus there is way more variety.
I wanted A LOT of makeup products but I didn’t need them right now. What I really needed was face masks, especially the ones that aren’t available here.

Here is what I asked him to get for me 🙌🙌!!

2017-05-26 06.26.51 1.jpg

L’Oreal Pure Clay Masks –

  • Purifying & Mattifying
  • Exfoliating & Pore Refining
  • Energizing & Brightening

Yes, I got all 3 of them because they were cheap there so.
Each of the mask was around 10 CAD which is 28 AED in UAE whereas a single mask on Souq(e-commerce marketplace in UAE) costs around 100 AED. AND THAT IS INSANE.

I have been seeing these masks all over the internet and I knew I had to get them. Firstly, because of the great reviews and secondly, because I am obsessed with any and all kinds of masks.

I am so excited to try out these masks and I hope they won’t let my expectations down.

So there it is! my beauty purchases for May.

What did you spend on this month ?

That is it for now, Bye guys, xoxo…

Pray For Manchester.

I am deeply saddened by the incident that took place in the Manchester Arena.

Greater Manchester Police said 22 people are dead and 59 were injured.

My heart goes out to all the parents and the kids and to those who had to witness this horrible incident.

I am very far away from that place but those who are in that area, Please help them in any way you can because there many kids who are still missing.

And I just have one request, please don’t blindly blame this incident on Muslims or Islam. Terrorism Has No Religion, race, gender or nationality. Terrorism is an act of violence. AND ISIS DOES NOT REPRESENT ISLAM. ISIS is just another terrorist group who is committing these terrible acts by using the name of Islam. Even Muslims are terrified of these groups.

Here’s to the lives we have lost and here’s to those who are suffering. Stay Strong.

Doesn’t matter what your religion is, doesn’t matter what your race or nationality is. As long as you are a human, you are bound to have humanity.

Because if we don’t end this war, the war will end us.

Fake Huda Beauty Liquid Matte – Icon.

Few months ago, I had my farewell party and I needed a reddish burgundy liquid lipstick. I wanted something cheap and for a one time use. So I definitely was not going to spend 100 dhs for just one lipstick. So I found this fake Huda Beauty Liquid Matte in Icon which was exactly the color I wanted.

Pros –

  • The packaging is absolutely gorgeous.
  • It has no weird chemical-ly scent.
  • The formula is very lightweight
  • Extremely comfortable

Cons –

  • Needs 2 coats to build up the coverage
  • Takes longer to dry down

I had it on for 7 hours and I had to retouch once after eating. It gets the job done for a one or two-time use.

I am not gonna say to go out and buy fake stuff because we have no idea what goes into making that product but if you are like me and your main priority is saving money then its worth a shot.

That is it for now, bye guyss.

SIGN NOW and save Insiya.

I know this blog is about me talking about stuff that I like or do. All the good happy stuff.

But few minutes ago I saw this video (Click here to view) and it was absolutely terrifying. It is a mother talking about how her little girl got kidnapped. I can’t imagine what this mother is going through but what I know is that its horrible and no mother should ever go through anything like this. I maybe too young to understand most of the stuff in life right now but what I know for a fact that taking someones child away from them. That shit will fuck you up. And taking a kid away from her mother, that will cause a lot of damage.

Here is Insiya’s story..

On the 29th of September 2016 my 2-year- old daughter Insiya was violently kidnapped from Amsterdam (European Union) and smuggled to Mumbai, India. Without her Dutch passport. Insiya is a Dutch citizen and holds only the Dutch nationality and passport.

On the day of the kidnap three men, professional kidnappers, barged into my home in my absence and brutally took Insiya while my mother was babysitting.
The Dutch Police was alarmed right after the kidnap and they issued an immediate AMBER Alert for her.

In an instant it became clear that Shehzad Hemani, my ex-husband, is the mastermind behind the violent kidnap. For many years I had been trapped in an emotional and physical abusive marriage with him. In 2015 I finally gathered my courage to file for divorce and put an end to his abuse. But even after filing for divorce it just didn’t stop; it became worse and he threatened to kill me multiple times. He placed 6 GPS trackers under my car, hired people to follow me and kept threatening to kidnap my daughter. That is why the Dutch Court decided to give Insiya’s custody to me.

An official Interpol Arrest Warrant has been issued for Shehzad Hemani.
The Dutch and European authorities question how the kidnapper could escape and cross multiple borders. This is very concerning.

I haven’t talked to my daughter since she has been kidnapped. Despite my countless efforts, the kidnapper will not let me talk to my daughter. Together with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Dutch Government we are trying our utmost best to get Insiya back. Every morning until night I am working to get her back. I am trying everything. I will not stop until I can hold my daughter in my arms again.
I have reached out to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs multiple times, but so far I haven’t got any response.
Ever since Insiya was born I have been the only one taking care of her. I will not stop until I get justice, because it is Insiya’s fundamental right to be with her mother. Insiya is illegal in India. Insiya is taken hostage and gravely traumatized. For her wellbeing and safety Insiya needs to be back with her mother!

The purpose of this petition is to reach out to the authorities of the Indian Government, especially the Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj. So that she can collaborate with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs to return Insiya back to The Netherlands.

I keep faith, but I can’t do it without your help. So please support and sign this Petition. We really need both governments to collaborate and take action.

SIGN NOW and save an innocent child!

Your support makes a huge difference in my life.

Thank you so much,

My Fitness Journey.

Hey Everyone, hope you are doing well.

I don’t really enjoy discussing about my weight or my appearance because sadly I am full of body image issues. But yesterday I read a fellow bloggers post. Her name is Shannon and you can read her post here. She wrote about starting her fitness journey and that made me wanna write about it too.

To began with I was a healthy kid, not fat not chubby not skinny, just healthy. As time passed and I grew up, I was around 8 or 9 when I started gaining weight due to excessive eating. I love food and most of the times I lost control and over-ate.

I used to eat 8 to 10 bread slices every morning. I used to eat 6 or 7 pieces of pizza at a time. I once ate 13 or 14 pieces of pizza when I was 9 or 10. I would eat chips and biscuits all day long. It even came to a point where I had food poisoning several times due to overeating. I have even had some pretty bad allergic reactions to certain food items. And that still didn’t stop me.

At that time I  didn’t care about what the world had to say about me. People called me fat but I was young and carefree.

It was when I turned 13 or 14 and started understanding that those words that people called me. I should have been offended by them. It hit me right in the feels that dude ‘you are fat’.

And when that realization hit me, I went into a stress mode. And I started stress-eating, which led to a further increase in my weight.

Then O-levels (grade 10) and A-levels(grade 11 and 12) happened. And I had no time to even breathe because its hectic. For eg. right now I shouldnt even be writing, I should be sleeping so that I can wake up early tomorrow and study(its 1:26 AM right now). I barely get time to do anything and I am constantly stressing about studies which makes me eat more. I had 2 donuts 2 hours ago.

I started working out from 1st may. First day it was a 10 min workout, yesterday was day 2 and I did a 18 min workout, which I think is an improvement.

I will be continuing working out and I will try to control my food consumption. I am also trying to drink as much as water possible.

I look 4 months pregnant right now. And my goal is a flatter stomach and toned arms.

My weight now is 56.1 kg (weighed in the morning, empty stomach)

2017-05-03 05.37.04 1.jpg

And my goal weight is 46 kg.

I have 2.5 months to do this. I don’t know if I can or can’t. But this time I wont back down, I wont give up. I HAVE to do this for myself.

I will be posting a ‘My Fitness Journey’ blog every month to share my progress. If you guys want to know what exercises I will be doing. Let me know in the comments section below and I will make sure to write about it.

It takes 4 weeks for you to notice your body changing, 8 weeks for your friends to notice, and 12 weeks for the rest of the world to notice. You have to be patient and keep going.

Lets do this!!!

That is it for now. Bye guyss, xoxo…

Trying Out Makeup Revolution Pink Fizz.

I finished my mock exams today, 6 more exams(Board) to go. But today was a break day for me, so I decided to test out my new Makeup Revolution Pink Fizz Palette. I ABSOLUTELY love the shades, they are very pigmented. And I can’t wait to play more with this palette after I am done with exams.
